Senior Software Developer
Location: London (Onsite)
Salary: £80,000–£120,000 + Performance Bonus
Type: Full-time, Permanent
My client, a fast-growing technology business operating at the intersection of quantitative research, data science, and iGaming, is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join its engineering team. You'll play a key role in developing low-latency trading systems that process real-time market data and execute automated trading strategies in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise low-latency trading systems and data pipelines
- Build and maintain integrations with multiple trading platforms
- Develop real-time data processing and analytical reporting solutions
- Enhance existing trading strategies to improve performance and scalability
- Monitor and optimise systems to maintain millisecond-level latency
- Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts and software engineers
- Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines

Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Python and Java
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Docker
- Knowledge of RESTful API development for real-time applications
- Experience building low-latency, event-driven, or streaming systems
- Strong understanding of data engineering, ETL pipelines, and schema design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Trading, betting, or financial services experience advantageous
