Senior Software Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help scale our advanced treatments-at-home platform. This is a full-stack role with real depth in backend or platform engineering. You’ll own meaningful problems end-to-end, shaping the approach with Product and clinical stakeholders, leading the design, and shipping reliable software clinicians and patients depend on. You’ll also raise the bar around you, mentoring other engineers and improving how the team works – building safe, high-quality software where reliability and patient safety matter.
What You’ll Do
- Own significant backend services and user-facing features, from problem definition through to running them in production.
- Lead technical design, weigh up trade-offs, and make pragmatic calls that balance long-term platform health against shipping value quickly.
- Set the standard for clean, well-tested code, and improve how the team tests, reviews and releases.
- Work closely with Product, Design, QA, Clinical, Data and Hardware to deliver capabilities that hang together – understanding why we’re building something, for whom, and the value it delivers.
- Help run the product in live clinical use – deploying, monitoring, on-call – and lead incident response and the learning that follows.
- Bring the right discipline to regulated, higher-risk work – controlled change, traceability, validation – without slowing the team down.
- Mentor and grow other engineers through pairing, review and coaching.

What You’ll Bring
- Significant experience shipping production software across the full-stack in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in at least one modern language (we use Java, Python and TypeScript) and the ability to pick up others quickly.
- A track record of leading technical designs and cross-team projects, not just individual features.
- Strong habits around testable code and automated testing, and confidence releasing and troubleshooting in production.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and scalable, distributed, event-driven systems.
- Good judgement on balancing quality and pace, delivering incrementally with the end user in mind.
- Experience using AI tools in development (code generation, review, debugging), with the judgement to apply them safely in a regulated, production codebase.

Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or building software under a regulated quality system (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA SaMD).
- Experience with real-time data, clinical alerting, or other highly distributed systems.
- Experience with Ionic / Angular hybrid apps or mobile platforms.
- Experience designing AI-assisted development workflows – embedding AI into how a team designs, builds, tests or reviews software, beyond individual use.
