Senior Software Engineer
Fully Remote (UK)
£90,000 + Benefits
Overview
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise to join a growing engineering team delivering modern, scalable software solutions. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys building high-quality applications, influencing technical decisions, and mentoring other engineers.
You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust digital products using modern technologies and engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Build and support backend services using Node.js.
- Develop responsive, user-focused frontend applications using React, Angular, or similar.
- Collaborate with the Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Contribute to technical architecture, solution design, and engineering standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience building applications using Node.js.
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with AWS cloud platform.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
- Experience with automated testing and software quality practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Ability to take ownership of technical solutions and contribute to architecture decisions.
