Elekta is recruiting for the role of Senior Software Engineer. Senior Software Engineer role focused on shaping Elekta’s software platform for future products. The work covers containerised, service-oriented and event-driven systems, with collaboration in a high-performing scrum team and mentoring junior engineers.

What you’ll do
- Build and enhance cloud and on-premises services for healthcare solutions.
- Design and implement APIs and microservices with attention to scalability, compatibility and performance.
- Contribute to full-stack development across web user interfaces, backend services and data solutions.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and use Docker, Kubernetes and Azure DevOps to streamline delivery.
- Apply development and test automation skills to help ensure high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate, share knowledge and drive innovation for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence architectural and delivery practices.

What they’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience, is required.
- At least five years of software engineering experience is needed.
- Experience with .NET, including C#, and modern frameworks is preferred.
- Strong experience building APIs and microservices, including REST and gRPC, is needed.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL is required.
- Frontend experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 is needed.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation and open-source tools is expected.

Additional role information
- Experience in regulated industries, especially healthcare, is desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and observability tools is desirable.
