About the Role
We are looking for experienced Senior Cloud-Native Software Engineers to join our product and engineering team and help build modern, scalable enterprise platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong technical fundamentals, and hands-on expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications. You will work closely with an established engineering team, contributing to the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of our platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building high-quality software and solving complex technical problems. We are looking for engineers who can work effectively within an existing technical direction and engineering standards, while also bringing ideas, identifying opportunities for improvement, and constructively challenging decisions when appropriate.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise applications is highly desirable, but strong software engineering capability remains the primary requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, cloud-native enterprise applications and platforms.
- Build high-quality backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java and/or Python.
- Develop and operate applications and services deployed in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
- Design and implement microservices and API-based architectures that are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
- Build solutions using event-driven and asynchronous architectures where appropriate.
- Apply modern CI/CD, DevOps, automation, testing, and observability practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions, balancing engineering quality with practical delivery requirements.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as part of an established product engineering team.
- Follow and contribute to established engineering standards, development practices, and delivery processes.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to improving the reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability of the platform.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers where appropriate.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities where they can deliver meaningful business or engineering value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
