Java Software Engineer (Contract) – £80 per hour – Fully Remote - 12 Months
A leading international technology organisation is looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join its Customer Service technology team on a long-term contract.
The successful candidate will work on critical services supporting customer and internal business operations.
The role will involve working closely with Product teams and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, develop and implement new features, test and deploy solutions, and support applications in production.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain backend software applications
- Develop clean, reusable and maintainable code
- Deliver new features from requirements through to production
- Resolve bugs and live production issues
- Take end-to-end ownership of applications and services
- Monitor application health, performance and relevant metrics
- Support deployment and production operations
- Contribute to system design and architecture decisions
- Continuously improve existing systems and engineering processes

- 5+ years’ Software Engineering experience
- Strong Java development experience
- Experience with Perl
- AWS cloud experience
- Kubernetes

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within fast-paced Agile engineering teams

- Location: Fully remote
- Team: Amsterdam-based / CET timezone
- Start date: 14th September
