Senior Software Engineer
£95,000 | Permanent | Hybrid
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team building and evolving a major consumer-facing web platform.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer with strong React, Next.js and TypeScript skills. You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering, helping create scalable, high-quality digital experiences across multiple markets while influencing engineering standards and best practice.

What you’ll be doing
- Building modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript
- Creating reusable components and contributing to Storybook/design systems
- Working with APIs, integrations and shared platform services
- Improving performance, accessibility and SEO
- Contributing to automated testing, CI/CD and reliable releases
- Helping shape engineering standards as the team grows
What we’re looking for
Strong commercial experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript is essential. You’ll also ideally bring experience across:

- Storybook and component-driven development
- Node.js, APIs and integrations
- Automated testing – Cypress, Playwright, Jest or similar
- CI/CD and modern deployment practices
- Headless CMS platforms
- Large-scale, customer-facing web applications
This is a Senior Individual Contributor role, so it will suit someone who wants to remain hands-on while having a real influence on architecture, quality and engineering practices.
