Job Title

Senior Software Engineer

Salary

£80k-£120k + Equity

Company Description

Infrawatch is building the infrastructure intelligence layer for the public internet, processing over 23.5 billion primary-source events daily to help global organizations detect cyberattacks, fraud, and online abuse. This small, high-capability team creates technology that empowers advanced institutions to uncover malicious activity and make decisions using previously non-existent intelligence.

Job Description

You will design and operate high-performance Golang systems responsible for ingesting and processing massive volumes of internet data. Working across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and customer-facing APIs, you will solve complex engineering challenges at the intersection of cybersecurity and large-scale data engineering in a high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment.

Location

Remote, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Work at extreme scale, building systems that process 23.5 billion events daily—a volume of data most engineering teams will never encounter.
  • Experience true ownership with zero layers of bureaucracy, moving projects from technical design to global production with direct influence on architecture.
  • Join a category-defining company early, taking the lead on technical foundations that protect some of the world's most advanced organizations from cyber threats.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Build reliable, low-latency APIs and backend services that model and serve extremely large intelligence datasets to enterprise customers.
  • Investigate complex failures across distributed infrastructure, improving observability and ensuring system resilience under heavy load and adversarial conditions.

The ideal candidate

  • Has substantial production experience building and operating high-performance backend services in Go, specifically focused on distributed systems and data engineering.
  • Demonstrates deep technical expertise with event-driven architectures, including hands-on experience with Kafka, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, or Redis at scale.
  • Possesses a pragmatic engineering mindset, capable of managing the full lifecycle of complex systems and making sound trade-offs regarding throughput, latency, and cost.
