Senior Software Engineer | Brand New Agentic Team

Central London | Hybrid (2–3 days per week) | Up to £110k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

We're working with a global payments technology organisation investing heavily in the future of Agentic Commerce and looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and shape an entirely new function.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the beginning of a greenfield initiative, backed by executive leadership and significant investment. The organisation is building a specialist team focused on how AI agents, merchants and customers interact in the future, creating new experiences that remove friction and simplify complex integrations.

You'll work on cutting-edge technology at the intersection of software engineering, payments and AI, contributing to key architectural decisions and helping bring new agentic capabilities into an enterprise environment. It's an opportunity to have genuine technical influence, work through complex engineering challenges and help shape a rapidly evolving space.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing, building and delivering software for a brand-new Agentic Commerce initiative.
  • Exploring emerging AI and agentic technologies and applying them to real-world engineering challenges.
  • Building scalable, reliable and secure distributed systems.
  • Contributing to architectural decisions and establishing strong engineering practices.
  • Working closely with product, security and engineering teams to develop new capabilities.
  • Challenging existing approaches and bringing new ideas to the table.
  • Collaborating with other engineers to solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality software.
  • Keeping up with developments across AI, agentic systems and the wider payments ecosystem.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
