Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java backend development and hands-on experience with Neo4j Graph Database. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems and graph-based data solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, architecture skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java technologies.
- Architect and implement graph-based solutions using Neo4j for complex relationship-driven data models.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Optimize database design, Cypher queries, and graph traversals for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive software design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Ensure application security, reliability, availability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis when required.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to platform roadmap initiatives.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps practices for seamless deployments.

- AWS/Azure/GCP experience

- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise applications.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Neo4j or other graph databases.
- Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Graph Data Science (GDS) library and graph analytics.
- Experience in knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, fraud detection, or network analysis platforms.
- Certifications in Java, Cloud Technologies, or Neo4j.
- Experience working in high-volume, customer-facing platforms.
