Senior Software Engineer | eDV Cleared | Cheltenham, Manchester or London | up to £100k
A national security technology company is hiring Senior Software Engineers to build capability for the UK national security community. Deep research and real delivery, not maintenance of somebody else's legacy stack.
This is not a single-language hire. You will move across whatever the problem needs:
- Python for applied AI
- C for low-level interfaces and data processing
- Java for large-scale operational systems
- Modern JavaScript for browser-based apps and visualisation

What you will be doing
- Designing, building and documenting high-calibre software.
- Prototyping fast when the problem is unclear, then hardening it and shipping it into real operations.
- Mentoring and reviewing to lift the team around you.

- A strong engineering core. Design, implementation, testing, maintainability
- Secure-by-default development practice
- Automation and continuous delivery
- Comfortable across the stack, from databases to shell scripting
- Experience in both high-assurance and fast-delivery environments
- Proven ability to learn a new system and deliver robust results quickly

The details
- eDV clearance required
- Cheltenham, Manchester or London. Onsite requirement is project and client dependent
- Up to £100k, experience-based
- 28 days holiday, private healthcare, pension with access to financial advice
