Senior.NET Developer | up to £75k | Manchester, Hybrid

Pearson Carter are working with a not-for-profit, NHS-contracted healthcare organisation that coordinates and delivers NHS primary and community eye care through a large network of local opticians.

In this role, you'll join a team working on green field projects and contribute to building secure, scalable, and user-friendly applications that support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Working in an Agile team, guide and assist in the design, development and maintenance of a C#.NET-based greenfield healthcare application.
  • Collaborate with clinical leads and stakeholders to understand ambiguous problems and user needs then translate them into elegant software solutions or designs.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act, NHS IG).
  • Provide day-to-day technical mentorship of Junior and Mid-level developers.
  • Conduct thoughtful code reviews, testing, and debugging of applications. Where necessary, pair up with more junior members.
  • Design, develop and support integrations with NHS FHIR, e-RS, and third-party APIs.
  • Stay informed about healthcare technology trends and regulatory requirements.

Experience

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in a full-stack role.
  • Significant hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-hosted .NET services at scale, including architecture decisions, performance tuning, and production operations.
  • Deep proficiency in C# and modern.NET (6+), with strong command of async patterns, dependency injection, and building well-structured, maintainable codebases.
  • Strong proficiency in React - including hooks, state management (e.g. Redux, Zustand, or React Query), component architecture, and performance optimisation. Candidates with equivalent depth in a comparable framework (e.g. Vue) will be considered.

Salary

They offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience and up to £75k.

Location

The client is based in Manchester and are looking for someone to come into office 2x per week.
