Recenso Services focuses exclusively on helping organizations deliver complex transformation programs faster and more effectively. The team brings practical experience and specialized insight from sectors such as telecommunications, media, banking, and resources. By identifying potential issues and bottlenecks early, Recenso Services supports clients in delivering modernisation and digitalisation initiatives on time. The company partners closely with Communications Service Providers (CSPs) to accelerate service revenue transformation in a cost-efficient and streamlined way. Candidates joining Recenso Services can expect to work on impactful, large-scale programmes that drive real business change.

Role Description

The Senior Software Engineer (Python) will design, build, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support complex transformation programmes for CSPs and other enterprise clients. This permanent role is hybrid, based in North London/Hertfordshire, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Implementing robust server-side logic
  • Integrating with external systems
  • Optimizing performance
  • Ensuring code quality through reviews and testing

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, contribute to architecture decisions, and improve existing systems and workflows. The role also involves:

  • Troubleshooting production issues
  • Documenting technical designs
  • Mentoring team members on Python best practices and modern development approaches

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and RESTful API design.
  • Proven Software Development skills, including version control (Git), testing practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Advanced Programming proficiency in Python and familiarity with other modern languages or scripting tools as needed.
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and application in large, modular codebases.
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in the Bratislava Metropolitan Area, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is an advantage.
  • Background in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise systems is an advantage.
