Role Description
The Senior Software Engineer (Python) will design, build, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support complex transformation programmes for CSPs and other enterprise clients. This permanent role is hybrid, based in North London/Hertfordshire, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Implementing robust server-side logic
- Integrating with external systems
- Optimizing performance
- Ensuring code quality through reviews and testing
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, contribute to architecture decisions, and improve existing systems and workflows. The role also involves:
- Troubleshooting production issues
- Documenting technical designs
- Mentoring team members on Python best practices and modern development approaches
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development using Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI) and RESTful API design.
- Proven Software Development skills, including version control (Git), testing practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Advanced Programming proficiency in Python and familiarity with other modern languages or scripting tools as needed.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and application in large, modular codebases.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in the Bratislava Metropolitan Area, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is an advantage.
- Background in telecommunications or large-scale enterprise systems is an advantage.
