Senior Software Engineer
TypeScript | Node.js | React | AWS | AI-assisted development
Central London, hybrid | Up to £80,000 +10% bonus
An established global B2B software company is expanding its London engineering team and hiring several Senior Software Engineers to work on new AI-enabled products and the modernisation of its existing platforms.
Some projects will involve improving and connecting established products. Others are being created from the ground up, including new capabilities that use AI to interact across multiple parts of the platform.
If you're looking for early-stage ownership, technical influence, and greenfield work, but with the stability of an established company, this one might be interesting.
The role
You’ll work as a full-stack engineer across TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS, taking ownership of features from the initial problem through to production.
The team is looking for engineers who want to understand why something is being built, contribute to how it should work, and remain accountable for the quality of the finished product.

You’ll be involved in:
- Building full-stack product features using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Designing secure, scalable APIs and backend services.
- Contributing to new AI-enabled products and platform modernisation.
- Working with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure.
- Contributing to architecture and technical decision-making.
- Supporting and mentoring less-experienced engineers.
AI-assisted engineering
The company is investing heavily in AI-assisted development. This goes beyond occasionally generating a unit test or asking an AI tool to fix an error. They want engineers who are curious about how AI can improve the full development lifecycle: understanding requirements, exploring solutions, writing and reviewing code, testing, documentation, and maintaining existing systems.
You don’t need to have built an AI product or deployed machine-learning models into production, as this can be taught. You should, however, have practical experience using AI development tools and a thoughtful view of where they improve engineering work.

Practical experience using Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools.
They’re open to engineers from both startup and larger-company backgrounds. The important thing is that you can move at pace, make pragmatic decisions, and balance delivery with long-term technical quality.
You’ll be joining during a period of genuine technical investment, with the opportunity to work on new products rather than simply maintaining an established backlog.
The company offers the stability, resources, and customer base of a successful international software business, while the London engineering group is being given the autonomy to build new teams, modernise platforms, and shape how AI changes the way software is developed.
