Senior Software Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a large-scale technology team working on data platforms and cloud-based applications. The role involves building reliable, secure and high-performance software that supports the movement and processing of critical data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain production-quality software.
- Build solutions for efficient and reliable data movement and processing.
- Focus on performance, scalability, security and automation.
- Work with architects, engineers and business teams to define technical solutions and requirements.
- Support applications in production and take ownership from development through to deployment and support.
- Contribute to performance and non-functional testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum/Kanban environment.

- Strong experience developing complex production applications.
- Experience with data platforms and performance-focused applications.
- Strong JVM experience, ideally with Pekko or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of non-functional testing, including performance, scalability and reliability testing.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Good communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently while supporting the wider engineering team.
