🚀 Senior Software Engineer | Manchester | Hybrid
I’m recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for a global travel technology business. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building complex software, owning services in production and helping shape technical decisions across a team.
đź“Ť Manchester: 2 days onsite per week
đź’· Rate: ÂŁ97.50 per hour via umbrella company
⏰ Hours: 37.5 per week
What you’ll be doing:
- Design, build and deliver software solutions from requirements through to production.
- Own services end to end, including deployment, monitoring, performance and reliability.
- Assess architecture options and guide technical decisions with product and engineering colleagues.
- Resolve production issues, carry out root cause analysis and deliver lasting improvements.
- Write clean, reusable code and maintain strong standards for testing, security and documentation.
- Coach junior engineers and share best practices across the team.

What you’ll bring:
- ✅ Around 5–8 years of relevant software engineering experience
- âś… Strong application development and system design skills
- âś… Experience owning live services and managing technical incidents
- âś… The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to different stakeholders
- âś… A practical approach to mentoring, collaboration and continuous improvement
