Reporting directly to the Director of Portfolio Analytics
You will take ownership of a growing in-house app - working across the full stack, shaping how the business uses data, and coordinating with a small offshore vendor team to keep delivery on track. It's a hands-on role for someone with a strong track record shipping enterprise software, who wants to bring that experience to a small, fast-moving team that's actively rethinking how it builds, using AI as part of the day-to-day workflow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll do
- Build and maintain the analytics workflow app, using Angular on the front end and Python (FastAPI) on the back end, writing clean, well-tested code that's easy to support and extend.
- Build data pipelines and models using pandas and NumPy, working with Snowflake and Azure to store and serve data reliably and securely.
- Coordinate an offshore vendor team: setting priorities, assigning work, reviewing output, and tracking hours and spend.
- Use AI coding assistants as part of daily development work, and look for ways to improve how the team builds, tests, and ships software.
- Work directly with the Director of Portfolio Analytics and business stakeholders, turning requirements into working software and explaining technical choices in plain language.
