About The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with Front-end or Back-end specialization to join our dynamic team at Dealstack. This is a mid-level position based in South Africa, offering the flexibility of remote work aligned with UK business hours. As a key member of our development team, you will contribute to building and enhancing our cutting-edge SaaS platform tailored specifically for the private equity industry. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced engineers to develop new features, improve existing functionalities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse technical challenges, including advanced data visualization, machine learning integration, and real-time communication protocols. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have over three years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on either Front-end or Back-end development. You should be based in South Africa and comfortable working remotely during UK business hours. A passion for working with modern technology stacks, especially React.js and Node.js, is essential. You should possess a sophisticated understanding of TypeScript and experience with state management in React.js. Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL, as well as testing frameworks like Jest and Playwright, is preferred. Additional skills valued include DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, as well as ORM tools like Prisma. You should demonstrate a problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience working in product-based companies or fintech is advantageous, along with a keen interest in private equity and SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a talented development team to design, develop, and deploy new features for our SaaS platform.
- Working on both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
- Participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Helping to architect modern UI components using React.js.
- Leveraging various communication protocols such as API, tRPC, GraphQL, and WebSocket to enable real-time features.
- Exploring complex technical domains including graph theory, visualization, machine learning, and document parsing.
- Working within an agile environment that values planning and thoughtful implementation.
- Balancing speed with stability and maintainability.
- Contributing to technical decision-making.
- Mentoring junior team members.
