Senior Developer in Trading

£75,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
Hybrid working - 1 day per month in London or Cheltenham

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Developer to join a growing financial technology business and play a key role in supporting a brand-new cloud-native trading platform from the ground up.

Working within a highly collaborative global engineering function, you'll help design, develop and deliver a next-generation financial trading product functionalities using modern technologies including AWS, Terraform and.NET. This is a greenfield environment where you'll have significant influence over architecture, engineering standards and technical direction.

You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Technical Leadership across the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada and New York, contributing to strategic technology decisions while remaining hands-on with development and cloud engineering.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced, product-focused environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges and is passionate about building scalable trading technology in the cloud.

The right person will be a Developer / Senior Engineer with experience working within financial trading and must have foundational understanding capital markets, order lifecycles and trading interfaces. As well as:

  • Strong experience developing applications using.NET / C#
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies
  • Experience using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles
  • A strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns and scalable cloud-native systems
  • Experience contributing to technical strategy and architectural decision-making
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving
