Build the Future of Autonomous Driving

Simulate the Future of Autonomous Driving

At Five AI, we’re building platforms, simulation environments and AI tooling that power the next generation of intelligent systems.

Today, our work helps advance autonomous driving. Tomorrow, we’re creating scalable technologies that will accelerate robotics, embodied AI and future intelligent systems across Bosch.

We’re not building one-off solutions - we’re building products that enable engineers to develop, train and evaluate AI faster, more safely and at greater scale.

Joining Five means working in agile, empowered teams where you’ll solve complex engineering challenges, take ownership of meaningful work and build technology with global impact.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll build cutting-edge tools and systems that help engineers develop, run and evaluate simulation and AI workflows at scale.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary engineering team working across simulation tooling, developer workflows, distributed systems and AI-enabled engineering platforms. The work is varied, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable picking up new languages, tools and domains where needed to solve the problem in front of them.

Working closely with Product Managers, Scientists and Engineers, you’ll build technology, tools and platforms that support autonomous driving today while helping create the foundations for the next generation of intelligent systems across Bosch.

We’re looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, are excited by AI and machine learning, and thrive in an environment where learning new technologies is part of the job.

Essential

  • Strong software engineering experience with proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C++ or similar.
  • Confidence working across different languages, tools and technology stacks, with the ability to learn what is needed to solve the problem.
  • A solid understanding of software engineering principles, including architecture, testing, code review and maintainable system design.
  • Experience designing and developing reliable software systems, applications or developer-facing tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical excellence and pragmatic delivery.
  • A willingness to get stuck into unfamiliar problems, ask good questions and learn quickly.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional engineering teams.
  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving challenging engineering problems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
