Senior Software Engineer LNG Team | Perm | £140,000 London | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite

Harrington Starr is partnering with a leading energy trading business to hire a Senior LNG Engineer.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role working within the LNG technology function to design and deliver complex platform enhancements, improve resilience and modernise technology supporting a critical LNG trading business.

The Role:

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex platform enhancements
  • Own technical solutions from design through to deployment and production support
  • Resolve complex production incidents and drive root cause analysis
  • Improve code quality, testing, supportability and platform resilience
  • Work closely with Product, Business Analysis and Architecture teams
  • Contribute to platform strategy and technical debt reduction
  • Influence future technology and architectural decisions
  • Mentor engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing and code reviews
  • Improve automation, observability, deployment processes and DevOps maturity

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong C#/.NET development experience
  • Expertise in APIs, integrations and distributed systems
  • Experience building cloud-native applications
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, resilience and security
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Experience with CI/CD and automated testing
  • Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives in business-critical environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
  • Background in energy trading, LNG, commodities or ETRM/CTRM is highly desirable
  • Experience with Endur, EOS or other energy trading platforms is advantageous
