The Custody Services team’s mission is to build secure, scalable systems that safeguard digital assets and support the full lifecycle of custody operations. The team partners closely with product, infrastructure, and security to deliver reliable backend services that enable asset movement, account integrity, and platform growth.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build backend systems that power custody services, including asset transfers, settlement workflows, and account state management. You will help improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence while working on systems where correctness, security, and precise execution are critical to user trust.

This role is based in our London office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Requires participation in an on-call rotation to support business needs.

What you’ll do

  • You’ll design and build backend services that support custody operations, including asset transfers, settlement workflows, and account state management.
  • You’ll improve system scalability, resiliency, and performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing targeted optimizations.
  • You’ll maintain and enhance systems that support asset safety, transaction accuracy, and operational integrity across custody workflows.

What you bring

  • You have 5+ years of experience building backend systems in production environments.
  • You are familiar with cloud infrastructure, including AWS services.
  • You have experience designing reliable, scalable distributed systems with a strong focus on correctness and operational excellence.
