I’m working with a growing technology business building intelligent, cloud-native software products using modern AI, machine learning, and data technologies.

They’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong Java experience to join a highly technical team working across backend engineering, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven applications.

  • Build backend APIs and cloud-native services.
  • Work on AI-driven products, including generative and agentic AI capabilities.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and distributed services.
  • Work with cloud services, event-driven systems, and data technologies.
  • Contribute to technical POCs and new product development.
  • Take ownership of features from initial requirements through to deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Research new technologies and identify opportunities to improve products and processes.
  • Support the growth of the engineering team through technical interviews and mentoring.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
