Job Description
Arm is reimagining the way we provide our internal users with access to compute, moving from an approach siloed by application to a modern private cloud environment.
This is a great opportunity to build and operate a greenfield private cloud platform based on OpenStack, delivering scalable and reliable infrastructure services for Arm's engineering teams.
The platform underpins large-scale engineering workloads and is central to the organisation’s strategy. The platform is to be built using modern platform engineering principles, with strong emphasis on automation, APIs, and developer experience. We have the ambition to build novel capabilities in the infrastructure we run and are working with innovative technology to do so.
You will work across infrastructure and software to build, operate, and improve platform capabilities, contributing new features to the upstream community.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and operate a secure OpenStack environment.
- Implement systems using Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop automation, tooling to build and extend the platform.
- Support and enhance infrastructure CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor, identify and fix issues across compute, storage and networking.
- Collaborate and engage with infrastructure and platform teams to support frictionless workflows for our end users.
- Contribute to 24/7 platform reliability, scalability and performance tuning.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience with Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible or other IaC tools.
- Experience of working in a DevOps / SRE environment.
- Programming experience in Python or similar.
- Understanding and ability to debug compute, networking, storage in large production environments.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience
- Exposure to modern cloud native principles.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)!
- Exposure to large-scale or multi-tenant environments.
- Exposure to GitOps driven and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc)
- Contribution to Open Source projects!

Salary Range
$161,500-$218,500 per year
