Software Engineer | Cheltenham | Permanent | SC Clearance

Build secure, mission-critical technology that makes a real-world impact.

We're seeking a Software Engineer with strong Kotlin and Android development experience to join a high-performing team delivering innovative digital solutions within secure environments. You'll work alongside talented engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to develop technology that enables faster, smarter, and more secure decision-making for critical operations.

This is an opportunity to work on challenging projects where innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence are valued. You'll be trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and help shape solutions from concept through to deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing robust Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Building scalable backend services using Rust, Python, or Go
  • Designing and consuming web APIs and modern software architectures
  • Working with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges
  • Developing proof-of-concept applications and rapidly iterating as requirements evolve
  • Participating in code reviews and driving engineering best practices
  • Contributing to secure software delivery within highly secure environments

What We're Looking For

  • Strong commercial Kotlin development experience
  • Android application development expertise
  • Experience with Git and modern software development workflows
  • Understanding of MVVM, UDF, OpenAPI, APIs, and software design principles
  • Exposure to backend development using Rust, Python, or Go
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly, learn new technologies, and thrive in fast-paced environments
