Senior Software Engineer | London (Bank) | £200K Package

Build the machine that builds companies.

Most startups build software. This company uses AI to build entire businesses from first principles, reimagining industries for the AGI era with a tiny team.

In just 11 months they've:

  • Hit $15M annualised revenue, profitably
  • Hired just 8 people (founders of venture-backed companies, Oxbridge and McKinsey defectors, Olympiad medallists, published researchers)
  • Raised from Seedcamp and BACKED
  • Attracted unsolicited nine-figure acquisition interest

The Senior Software role

This isn't another backend or product engineering job.

You'll work directly with the founders to design and build the systems that power the company itself, from AI agents and internal platforms to distributed systems, infrastructure and entirely new operational machinery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • No product managers.
  • No endless meetings.
  • No narrowly defined tickets.

Just difficult problems, real ownership and huge technical influence.

Who they're looking for

You'll likely be either:

  • A founding engineer, CTO or exceptional startup builder who has repeatedly turned ambiguity into production systems. You've built substantial systems yourself, not merely contributed to them, and you're comfortable owning the outcome rather than your portion of the implementation.

Or

  • An outstanding technical generalist from somewhere like Jane Street, top research, or another highly selective engineering environment. Maths, physics, ML, distributed systems. You reason precisely and learn unfamiliar systems very quickly.

Either way: you move comfortably between abstract reasoning and grubby implementation detail. You investigate the real process behind a software request rather than just building what was asked. You use AI tools heavily but understand their failure modes. You work very fast without becoming careless.

And you've done something that's difficult to explain without concluding you're unusually intelligent, driven or earnest.
