Founding Engineer, Stealth Startup (Agentic Commerce) - London
I'm working with two experienced founders building something genuinely new: the trust layer for agentic commerce.
Soon, shopping will be agent led. You'll tell an agent what you want, and it'll go and buy it for you, autonomously. But right now, nobody can fully trust an agent with their money, because there's a real risk the agent buys the wrong thing. They're building buyer protection backed by a risk engine that solves exactly this, for consumers, agent builders, and merchants.
They're now hiring their first engineer to build it alongside them.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What the role involves:
- Build the risk model: supervised learning, LLM as judge, and other methods as needed, going from bootstrapped spreadsheets to a genuine risk engine, first of its kind for agentic commerce
- Build the payment flows: embed the risk harness into agentic payment protocols, working with the latest agent commerce providers, sometimes building flows from scratch alongside partners
- Own the product end to end: UX touchpoints, backend ML, and payment orchestration, working directly with the founders rather than a slice of a bigger team
