Senior Software Engineer
£58,000 - £63,000 per annum
Directorate: Chief Operating Office
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week
Location: Stratford, London. Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications, services and integrations that support teams across the charity.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full technology stack, developing modern React and Next.js applications, Node.js services, APIs and cloud-based AWS solutions. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving systems that enable colleagues across the organisation to deliver their best work while helping shape our engineering standards and technical direction.

What you will be doing
- Developing and supporting full stack solutions using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS.
- Designing and maintaining APIs, backend services and cloud-based integrations.
- Taking ownership of applications and services within our Corporate Operations portfolio.
- Supporting and modernising existing and legacy systems.
- Improving reliability, security, performance and maintainability.
- Contributing to engineering best practice and continuous improvement.
What we are looking for
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js.
- Experience building APIs and working with AWS or similar cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
