Role Summary

We are seeking to hire an ambitious, innovative, and forward-thinking senior software engineer to help us build the future of Digital Rights Management as part of the LSEG-Microsoft Partnership.

You will help to design, build, and run solutions in the sophisticated and challenging domain of Digital Rights Management. You will explore and advocate the use of AI tooling to boost efficiency. You will work as part of a cross-functional squad of engineers, maintaining focus on secure, quality code. You will embrace automation to maximize effectiveness and repeatability across the Software Development Lifecycle. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, developing solutions in Public Cloud. You’re a strong, confident communicator, comfortable liaising with engineers from across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Working in a delivery squad using well-established agile principles
  • Working with lead engineers to design optimized solutions which meet product requirements
  • Coding secure, efficient, and effective solutions
  • Delivering solutions using Microsoft Azure capabilities
  • Adopting DevOps principles to code, build, implement, and support solutions
  • Providing support to Reliability Engineering teams releasing the software that your team will build
  • Ensuring that solutions conform to LSEG test strategy standards
  • Working with Product Owners to understand requirements
  • Working with the squad to provide accurate estimations for delivery
  • Being outward facing, understanding the broader engineering landscape
  • Providing clear and concise communications to the squad and stakeholders
  • Supporting junior engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience using C#.NET
  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of UI development, ideally with React
  • Experience with AI tooling such as Github Copilot
  • Knowledge of DevOps and associated tooling – including Terraform
  • An ability to write clean and well-tested code
  • Demonstrable experience of building applications in Public Cloud – Microsoft Azure preferred
  • A good understanding of ‘well-architected’ principles
  • Motivation, self-starting, and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • An enthusiasm to learn new technology and approaches – and share them with others
  • A willingness to undertake Azure certification
  • An understanding of the financial information domain is desirable
