Marsh: Senior Software Engineer Opportunity

Marsh is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who is ready to make an immediate impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently, and contribute to the design, development, and support of scalable applications. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Angular, along with a genuine interest in how AI can be applied to improve software delivery and business outcomes.

About the Role

This role sits within a collaborative technology team focused on building modern, scalable software solutions that support Marsh’s evolving digital and AI ambitions. The team works closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions. We value innovation, continuous improvement, and a hands-on approach, and we’re looking for someone who can operate independently while contributing positively to a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work three days per week in the office. For this role, we can consider any of our UK offices as a base location.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support scalable software solutions using modern engineering best practices.
  • Work independently to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical colleagues to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and robust unit tests in line with coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance and integration challenges.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and team collaboration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
