Are you an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a passion for modern technologies, Agentic AI and building scalable solutions

We are working with an innovative, technology-driven organisation looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical platform, combining hands-on development with technical leadership, solution architecture and collaboration across Engineering, Product and Commercial teams.

You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing a proprietary platform that connects internal services with HubSpot, while helping shape technical decisions and drive the adoption of emerging technologies, including Agentic AI.

This is also an OUTSIDE IR35 Contract for an 8 month patnerity cover hire, paying up to £600 per day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design, development and maintenance of scalable backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Taking technical ownership of a business-critical platform, delivering new features, integrations and ongoing improvements.
  • Working with Agentic AI technologies, developing and integrating intelligent solutions into existing systems.
  • Driving architectural decisions, identifying technical dependencies and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Supporting HubSpot integrations and ensuring alignment with the wider technology ecosystem.
  • Mentoring and supporting engineers, promoting best practices and high-quality development.
  • Contributing to CI/CD processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on development experience with Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience working with Agentic AI, including AI agents or autonomous workflows.
  • Demonstrable technical leadership experience, including mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.
  • Strong software design and architecture capabilities.
  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • An understanding of HubSpot and its integration capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across Engineering, Product and business teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to take ownership of complex technical challenges.

Nice to Have

  • DevOps experience and knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure practices.
  • Kafka or event-driven architecture experience.
  • Previous experience within Gaming, iGaming or Affiliate Marketing.
