Senior.NET Developer | C# | Azure

Location: City of London – Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
6 Month contract
Outside IR35

We're looking for an experienced.NET Developer to join a growing technology team delivering scalable, cloud-first solutions. This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working closely with stakeholders, and taking ownership of projects from design through to deployment.

While experience with Angular or other modern front-end frameworks is beneficial, the primary focus of this role is building and enhancing backend services using C#,.NET and Microsoft Azure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core
  • Building and enhancing cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure
  • Developing scalable APIs, services, and integrations that support key business functions
  • Contributing across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and fellow Engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues to ensure platform stability and performance
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Conducting code reviews and promoting engineering best practices
  • Supporting CI/CD initiatives, automation, testing, and continuous improvement across the development function
  • Contributing to solution architecture discussions and technical decision-making
  • Leveraging AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining ownership of code quality and security

Essential Skills

  • Strong commercial experience with C# and.NET/.NET Core
  • Experience building applications and services within Microsoft Azure
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and modern software design principles
  • Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and data-driven applications
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience working within Agile development environments
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Entity Framework and ORM experience
  • Exposure to Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with cloud architecture and distributed systems
