Job Title
Our client is a global technology organisation operating within the financial services sector, delivering mission-critical software and digital platforms that support high-volume, real-time trading and data services across international markets.

They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative Agile team, delivering scalable, business-critical applications while helping shape technical direction and mentoring other developers. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern front-end solutions in collaboration with architects and senior engineers.
- Take ownership of technical delivery, ensuring high-quality, scalable and maintainable code.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to team members, including experience managing or coaching direct reports.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies, frameworks and development practices.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and support.
- Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-impact software solutions.
Essential Experience
- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience building scalable, reusable UI components and responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of modern component libraries (e.g. Material UI or similar).
- Experience with automated testing (Cypress, Selenium or equivalent).
- Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack or Vite.
- Understanding of performance optimisation, web security and software engineering best practices.
- Experience working across the full SDLC in Agile environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing developers, including direct reports, is essential.

Desirable
- Experience with Storybook, Figma or similar UI tools.
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with C#, relational databases and modern testing practices (TDD/BDD).
- Previous experience within financial services, trading platforms or other highly regulated environments.
