Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering Engineer based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior engineering opportunity focused on building the rendering infrastructure that powers next-generation agentic search and AI systems. You will design and operate systems that transform modern, dynamic web applications into high-quality structured content for search and real-time reasoning. The role sits at the intersection of browser technology, distributed infrastructure, JavaScript execution, and large-scale content processing. You will tackle challenges involving billions of pages while balancing rendering quality, throughput, latency, resource utilization, and cost. Your work will directly enable AI agents to reliably access and understand information from the modern web. This role offers significant ownership within a small, highly technical, AI-native engineering environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design and build large-scale rendering systems capable of processing modern web applications at internet scale.
- Develop reliable browser-based infrastructure capable of executing complex JavaScript applications and accurately capturing rendered content.
- Research how modern frontend frameworks render and deliver content across different architectures and execution environments.
- Improve rendering quality, completeness, reliability, and performance across a wide range of websites.
- Optimize rendering infrastructure for cost, latency, resource utilization, throughput, and scalability.
- Investigate browser rendering behavior, page readiness, resource loading, and dynamic content execution.
- Translate research and experimentation into reliable, maintainable production systems.
- Help address large-scale infrastructure challenges including bursty workloads, caching, multi-region systems, and millions of daily requests.
- Take end-to-end ownership of rendering infrastructure and contribute to technical decisions across the system.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure rendering capabilities reliably support agentic search and AI workloads.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
