Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Agents based in United Kingdom.

This is an opportunity for a senior engineer to build advanced AI agents that perform meaningful work for thousands of developers and directly influence how modern software products are monetized. You will work on agentic systems that go beyond simple LLM wrappers, contributing to orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop controls. The role combines deep backend engineering with product thinking, giving you significant ownership over what gets built and how it reaches users. You’ll operate in an early-stage product environment within a growing organization, where architecture is evolving and engineers are expected to shape technical direction. Collaboration is fully remote and highly autonomous, with strong emphasis on clear communication, fast iteration, reliability, and customer impact. This role is well suited to a builder who enjoys ambiguity, ships pragmatically, and wants to help establish the infrastructure that future AI-powered products will depend on.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and operate production-grade agentic systems that deliver tangible value to developers and end users.
  • Develop and improve core agent infrastructure, including orchestration, tool execution, context management, evaluation pipelines, permissions, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Build meaningful user-facing AI features and continuously monitor their usage, reliability, adoption, and overall impact.
  • Own projects end to end, from identifying opportunities and defining scope through architecture, implementation, launch, monitoring, and post-launch improvements.
  • Work closely with Product and other engineering teams to prioritize initiatives, validate ideas, and translate customer needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Quickly understand and improve existing codebases, including systems and components you did not originally build.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested, observable, secure, and maintainable code while maintaining a high engineering standard.
  • Debug complex issues methodically across frontend, backend, and data layers, contribute to incident response, and drive preventative improvements.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, bug bashes, architecture planning, and engineering initiatives.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions that extend beyond the immediate team and help shape long-term technical direction.
  • Mentor other engineers and share knowledge, discoveries, and best practices across the organization.
  • Engage directly with customers when appropriate to understand how products perform in real-world environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay current with AI tools, agentic development practices, and emerging approaches, applying relevant techniques to production systems.
  • Identify problems proactively, propose improvements, and take ownership of initiatives through implementation and measurable outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
