Senior Software Engineer (AI CI/CD) - United Kingdom
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (AI CI/CD) based in United Kingdom.
As a Senior Software Engineer (AI CI/CD), you will help build secure, scalable developer tools and cloud-native solutions at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software delivery, and modern infrastructure. In this role, you will design and deliver end-to-end features that improve the software development lifecycle while enabling AI-powered capabilities for developers and engineering teams. Working within a collaborative, product-focused environment, you will contribute to architectural decisions, partner closely with product and engineering teams, and help shape innovative solutions that prioritize security, automation, and developer experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while delivering products with real-world impact.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end product features, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Build and enhance AI-powered developer tools, CI/CD capabilities, and customer-facing platform features that improve software delivery workflows.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap by collaborating with product managers and engineering teams to prioritize features and deliver iterative improvements.
- Lead architectural discussions, propose scalable technical solutions, and promote engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Develop secure, cloud-native applications that integrate with container technologies, Kubernetes environments, and modern software supply chain tooling.
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges while balancing product requirements, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless developer experience and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor teammates through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and technical collaboration to foster engineering excellence.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications.
- Strong expertise with container technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, artifact registries, and the broader cloud-native ecosystem.
- Experience designing, building, and securing modern CI/CD pipelines and software delivery platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang), or the ability to become productive quickly with the language.
- Experience working with AI development tools, automation technologies, or intelligent software systems.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and secure software engineering practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, remote teams.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
- Passion for building developer-focused products that simplify complex engineering workflows.
