Senior Software Engineer (AI Solutions)
Content Guru is a leading provider of enterprise cloud Customer Experience (CX) and contact centre solutions, supporting organisations across the globe through innovative technology including Generative AI and our storm® platform.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Applications Engineering team at our Head Office in Bracknell, Berkshire. With a particular focus on AI-powered solutions, you will use your strong Python and wider software engineering experience to develop high-quality applications and services for our mission-critical communications platform.
What we are looking for…
You will be an experienced Software Engineer with strong commercial Python experience and practical experience developing or delivering AI-powered solutions. You will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles, be comfortable solving complex technical problems and take pride in producing clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
You will also be confident taking ownership of complex development work, contributing to technical decisions and supporting less experienced engineers.

This role is based at our Bracknell, Berkshire Head Office.

Key responsibilities of the role…
- Design, develop and maintain applications and services, with a particular focus on Python and AI-powered functionality.
- Develop features to meet customer, project and non-functional requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Contribute to the design, specification and refinement of development work.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release and deployment activities.
- Investigate technical issues and support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of applications.
- Contribute to technical discussions and promote good software engineering practices.
- Take ownership of complex development work and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Keep up to date with developments in AI, Python and wider software engineering.
About you…
- Strong commercial software development experience.
- Significant experience using Python in a commercial environment.
- Experience developing or delivering AI-powered solutions.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practice.
- Experience with version control, testing and modern software development practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts.
- Experience with technologies such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, containerisation or Kubernetes would be advantageous.
- Experience of real-time voice applications would also be advantageous.
