Job Description - Senior Software Engineer - B2B Platform Services

EverQuote is seeking a Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our growing team!

EverQuote is a leading AI-powered growth solutions partner for regulated property and casualty insurance entities, enabling the largest insurance carriers and thousands of agents to maximize customer acquisition across digital channels. Fueled by our proprietary data assets and our AI traffic engine, EverQuote is transforming the way providers attract and guidance as they grow as engineers.

About The Role

As a senior member of the Engineering team, you will be instrumental in delivering architecture improvements that will scale the EverQuote systems.

In this role, you will build applications and services that meet the needs of the business while also being scalable, performant and easy to maintain. You will be joining a team of talented, collaborative engineers eager to grow and deliver. You will shine as a mentor to this young team, providing technical insight and guidance as they grow as engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and delivery of key business applications and solutions.
  • Enhance code quality, productivity and velocity through the use of AI assisted technology.
  • Adhere to our Software Development processes whilst improving our Engineering culture by identifying and addressing inefficiencies in our processes.
  • Proactively engage with cross functional stakeholders including Product Managers and Architecture team.

What You Bring To The Team (Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of professional programming experience including experience at a software product company.
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Typescript, Golang, Python, or other server-side languages.
  • You have worked in a microservice-based architecture and are proficient in Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building, deploying and monitoring cloud-based applications, systems & infrastructure at scale (ideally on AWS).
  • Deep experience designing systems and communicating designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in variable cash bonus programs, equity, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility which are designated by role.
