  • Work with data engineers to establish reliable data flows between source systems, analytical platforms, visualization services, and downstream applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to translate customer and business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions for backend services, analytics APIs, data models, processing workflows, caching strategies, and integrations.

  • Optimize data access, aggregation, and service performance to support responsive and interactive customer experiences.
  • Design backend capabilities that can support both predefined analytics experiences and more dynamic exploration of data.
  • Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of analytics services.
  • Write high-quality, readable, testable code that follows established engineering standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code and design reviews and contribute to strong engineering and quality practices across the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across backend services, analytics workflows, data processing, and frontend integrations.
  • Build appropriate monitoring, logging, testing, and observability into production services.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to support reliable deployment and operation of Analytics Visualizations services.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering approaches related to analytics, data visualization, data processing, and backend development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
