What is CoinDesk Media Engineering?

We are responsible for the architecture, development, and optimisation of coindesk.com, the CoinDesk app, and the services behind both, ensuring millions of readers worldwide get seamless access to news, data, and multimedia content.

We're looking for a senior engineer with strong, hands-on expertise across modern web and mobile, who can take real ownership of functionality and drive it forward.

If you enjoy working in a small, flat, dedicated team, are pragmatic, and like the challenge of taking a real system and making it better, faster, more fun to build on, you'll fit right in.

What you'll do

  • Ship features end-to-end across the website, the app and the services layer.
  • Own your work from scoping with product/design through shipping, monitoring, and ensuring production is safe, secure, and robust.
  • Work directly with product managers, designers, we're a small, direct team.
  • Use AI coding tools as a default part of how you build, not a novelty.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
