Azure Cloud Engineer

About the Job

Join Capgemini’s Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) practice, where we Consult with Purpose, Continuously Evolve, and Architect Tomorrow. Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with 10 years of experience to architect, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure automation frameworks and AI-enabled application delivery across multicloud environments. This role has a primary focus on Azure and GCP with secondary support for AWS. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code, CICD, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, Nexus-based artifact management, and platform reliability with strong alignment to security compliance and governance standards in regulated environments such as banking and financial services.

Hybrid Working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

  • Architect and operate secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms across Azure and GCP while supporting AWS integrations and workloads where required.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and cloud-native tooling.
  • Build reusable Infrastructure as Code modules and standards using Terraform with strong state management and deployment governance.
  • Deploy and manage container platforms and workloads across AKS and GKE as primary targets with practical support for EKS.
  • Own enterprise artifact lifecycle management using Nexus, Azure Repos, GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions including repository strategy, dependency governance, retention, and promotion controls.
  • Implement DevSecOps controls including SAST, DAST, dependency, and container image scanning, secrets management, and policy-as-code.
  • Define release strategies, environment promotion flows, rollback mechanisms, and audit-ready deployment processes.
  • Establish observability standards for logs, metrics, traces, and proactive alerting across cloud-native applications.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements to reduce service disruption and improve recovery times.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices through resource governance, rightsizing, and utilization analysis.
  • Collaborate with security, architecture, and engineering teams to ensure secure platform patterns and enterprise compliance.
  • Mentor engineers and drive DevOps best practices, automation-first culture, and platform standardization.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
