Senior Software Engineer | Belfast | Hybrid
Oxbow Talent is partnering with a successful US technology company as they begin building out their engineering function in Belfast.
The company has had an established presence locally for several years and is now investing significantly in growing its technical team here. This is an opportunity to join early and play a meaningful role in how that team develops.
The role:
- Design, build, test and deploy production software
- Build and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines
- Work across backend services and event-driven systems
- Take ownership of applications from development through to production
- Work closely with Product, Data and other engineering teams
- Contribute to technical decisions and engineering standards
- Build reliable, observable and well-tested systems

What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial Python experience
- Backend software engineering experience
- Experience building ETL or data processing pipelines
- Strong SQL skills
- AWS cloud experience
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with event-driven or distributed systems
- Airflow, Dagster, Argo Workflows or similar would be beneficial
- Comfortable taking genuine end-to-end ownership
