Senior Software Engineer (.NET / AWS / DOCKER)

📍 Leeds, Manchester or Bruntingthorpe (Hybrid X2 A Week)

Help Transform a Business Processing 200,000+ Vehicles Every Year

Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), part of Cox Automotive Europe, is on an ambitious engineering transformation journey.

We're modernising a large-scale legacy.NET platform into a cloud-native ecosystem built on AWS, modern.NET, event-driven architecture and AI-enabled engineering practices. Our systems support one of the UK's largest vehicle preparation and storage operations, processing more than 200,000 vehicles annually for manufacturers, finance providers and rental businesses.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our technology platform while helping define how modern software engineering and AI-assisted development are applied across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work within a collaborative engineering team to:

  • Design, build and deploy scalable applications using modern.NET technologies.
  • Help migrate a legacy .NET Framework monolith into AWS-native services and microservices.
  • Develop robust APIs and event-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Champion engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD and modern development practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, quality and consistency.
  • Take ownership from design through to production support and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
