Senior Software Engineer (.NET / AWS / DOCKER)
📍 Leeds, Manchester or Bruntingthorpe (Hybrid X2 A Week)

Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), part of Cox Automotive Europe, is on an ambitious engineering transformation journey.
We're modernising a large-scale legacy.NET platform into a cloud-native ecosystem built on AWS, modern.NET, event-driven architecture and AI-enabled engineering practices. Our systems support one of the UK's largest vehicle preparation and storage operations, processing more than 200,000 vehicles annually for manufacturers, finance providers and rental businesses.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our technology platform while helping define how modern software engineering and AI-assisted development are applied across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work within a collaborative engineering team to:
- Design, build and deploy scalable applications using modern.NET technologies.
- Help migrate a legacy .NET Framework monolith into AWS-native services and microservices.
- Develop robust APIs and event-driven solutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
- Champion engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD and modern development practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, quality and consistency.
- Take ownership from design through to production support and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with engineers who have:
- Strong commercial experience with.NET /.NET Core & Docker
- Experience building applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- A passion for clean code, testing and engineering best practice
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- An understanding of CI/CD, Agile delivery, BDD and/or TDD
- The ability to balance technical quality with pragmatic delivery outcomes
