The ESG Technology platform is a containerized, cloud-first blend of Python, C#, Postgres, Snowflake, Typescript, React, and AWS products. We are looking for a polyglot senior developer with proven C# and Python experience to join our team.

The role will involve working on both in-flight and greenfield projects in an exciting and rapidly evolving marketplace.

Role Summary and Job Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and delivery of complex Front Office investments data and analytics tools with a focus on ESG data
  • Pro-active and independent engagement with business and technology partners of varying levels to ensure clarity of the problem and opportunity
  • Elicit business requirements, questioning and challenging where necessary
  • Contribute to tactical and strategic roadmap planning
  • Manage technical debt within the tools
  • Proactively help team members/make suggestions to improve practices
  • Lead projects or work streams, providing guidance and expertise

Business Knowledge:

  • Able to work directly with business stakeholders, shape solution direction, and deliver practical outcomes.
  • Decisions show a focus on current and future business priorities, together with fiscal responsibility
  • Can articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions
  • An understanding of Investment Research within Asset Management is a plus

Technology Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Hands-on technical expert, confident to lead development in dotnet core / aspnet core
  • Experience in Python, with emphasis on Pandas
  • Experience with Postgres, Snowflake, and/or handling large datasets
  • Experience with Linux, Docker, and cloud-based development platforms and cloud-based technologies and architecture with a bias towards Gitlab & AWS
  • Hands-on experience with a front-end framework such as React/Redux, Angular, etc and Typescript is a plus
  • Stays current with many best-of-breed technologies
  • Enjoys working in an Agile team following Scrum practices
  • Build and innovate long-term solutions
  • Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing
  • Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others’ designs/code
  • Owns technical debt in their own software
