Senior Backend Engineer - Identity and Onboarding Services

About The Role
You will own and evolve core identity and onboarding services, including KYC flows, verification orchestration, and downstream data contracts. You will build internal SDKs and shared libraries, establish architectural standards, and deliver engagement-platform capabilities from design through production. You will improve reliability and observability, solve complex platform problems, and contribute through reviews, incident response, and mentoring.

Requirements
- At least five years of backend engineering experience using Go in production
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems
- Experience with platform or enablement teams, shared libraries, internal tooling, developer experience, or API gateways
- End-to-end ownership across design, build, operation, and improvement
- Practical use of AI development tools with validation of generated output
- Experience with system design, API contracts, and service boundaries

- Own and evolve identity and onboarding services, including KYC flows and verification orchestration
- Build and maintain internal SDKs and shared libraries for platform concerns
- Define and champion architectural standards for service design, API contracts, and data consistency
- Drive rewards logic, CRM integrations, and LFI cache capabilities from specification to production
- Use AI-assisted development tooling while validating output for correctness
- Partner with platform and infrastructure teams to improve reliability and observability
- Turn ambiguous problems such as country launches, identity requirements, and scaling events into documented solutions
- Conduct code reviews and architectural reviews
- Participate in incident response
- Mentor engineers
