Senior Software Engineer | Hybrid - Twice a week in central London office | Salary Range: £85-100k

Would you like to spend your day-job helping the UK become net-zero?

I'm working with a start-up who are supporting the UK with its goal of becoming Net Zero by 2050 - the work you'll do will genuinely help save the planet!

They’re currently a team of circa 20 (with around 50% of the business working in engineering) and are looking to add an experienced senior engineer - the calibre of the team is exceptional.

They’ve built an impressive customer base & significant revenue generation. Their next step is to develop their suite of products further as they look to cover new areas within the renewable energy sector.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
