Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - GO based in United Kingdom.

Join a highly experienced engineering team building secure, scalable backend infrastructure for enterprise-grade applications from the ground up. In this role, you will design and develop high-performance distributed systems that prioritize reliability, security, and maintainability. Working closely with product and design teams, you'll help transform technical requirements into robust software architectures while contributing throughout the entire development lifecycle. This is an opportunity to take ownership of critical backend services, influence technical direction, and collaborate in a fully remote, engineering-driven environment that values autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Go, following modern software engineering best practices.
  • Architect distributed systems and microservices capable of supporting enterprise-scale workloads with high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Translate business and product requirements into technical designs, implementation plans, and well-structured software solutions.
  • Build secure APIs and backend services while embedding security principles throughout application and infrastructure design.
  • Design and optimize relational database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure data integrity and performance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
  • Improve system observability through monitoring, metrics collection, distributed tracing, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout product development and contribute to engineering hiring through technical interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering practices, architecture, and development processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
