Context

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team and contribute to the ongoing development of our sustainability data platform.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in designing, building and improving the systems that power our products and services. Working closely with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of scalable, reliable and secure solutions while supporting the continuous evolution of our technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

Software Development & Architecture

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable software solutions supporting our SaaS platform.
  • Contribute to the architecture and evolution of distributed and cloud-native systems.
  • Build high-quality, secure and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and architectural decision-making.

Platform & Cloud Engineering

  • Develop and maintain APIs and backend services.
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the reliability, performance and scalability of production systems.
  • Work with containerized environments and modern cloud technologies.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data and Engineering teams to deliver business value.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to planning and prioritisation activities within your squad.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and technical projects across the organization.
  • Promote engineering excellence and knowledge sharing within the team.

Mentoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Contribute to code reviews and engineering standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Profile required

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Strong experience with backend development (Golang, Java, C#, Python or similar technologies).
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable software solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Solid understanding of API design and distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with Docker and ideally also Kubernetes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with event-driven architectures, microservices or Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience with AI-enabled or agentic development approaches.
  • Experience with AngularJS or full-stack development.
