Job Description
We are looking for an experienced software developer to help build a security insights plugin for our clients existing network automation platform.
This opportunity will require focus and experience of building APIs, designing backend schemas and tasks for processing firewall rule data. Strong testing skills will be required as part of the development as well as maintaining a high standard for code readability and collaboration.
This role is inside of IR35 and requires working onsite twice a week along with the following skills and experience:

Backend (Python / Django) – Essential
- Python: Fluency in Python 3.10+, clean architecture, type hinting, and writing robust test suites using Unittest (including mocking external dependencies and task queues).
- Django REST Framework (DRF): Proven track record of building secure, production grade RESTful APIs using DRF.
- Databases: Strong schema design, Django migrations, and indexing strategies. Must be proactive about query optimization (e.g. preventing N+1 issues with
select_related / prefetch_related). - Celery & Task Queues: Experience building, testing, and troubleshooting background tasks with Celery and RabbitMQ.

Frontend (React) – Desirable (Nice-to-Have)
- React & Tooling: Modern React built with Vite.
- UI Components: Hands-on experience with Material UI (MUI).
- API Integration: Comfortable connecting React components to DRF endpoints and managing asynchronous UI states.
