We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer - iOS to join our London team. In this role, you’ll help us evolve our mobile architecture and deliver seamless, high-performance features that define the future of on-demand delivery. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically 3 days in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Consumer team. We are responsible for the primary touchpoint of millions of users, ensuring the journey from "hungry" to "happy" is intuitive, lightning-fast, and reliable.
As a Senior Engineer, Your Individual Work Meaningfully Contributes To Achieving Goals Across Multiple Teams. Here’s What Your Day-to-day Might Look Like
- Lead Technical Execution: Design and scale robust iOS architecture, ensuring our mobile codebase remains modular, testable, and maintainable.
- Drive Code Excellence: Take pride in shipping readable, well-designed software through rigorous code reviews and by setting a high bar for engineering standards.
- Champion Operational Health: Continuously simplify the maintenance of production systems, focusing on visibility, crash rates, and overall app performance.
- Collaborate & Influence: Partner closely with Product and Design to break down complex problems and shape a roadmap that balances feature delivery with technical debt.
- Mentor & Grow: Proactively assist in the growth of your colleagues, guiding technical choices and participating in the hiring process to build a world-class team.

What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
- Significant experience building iOS applications with a deep understanding of Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Proven ability to scale mobile architecture within a large-scale codebase, ensuring performance and stability for millions of users.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery within a cross-functional team, ideally within a fast-paced product environment.
- Expertise in modern iOS frameworks, including a strong command of UIKit and AutoLayout.
- A commitment to quality, with a natural inclination toward writing well-tested code and implementing CI/CD best practices.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
